So, did anybody watch tonight's episode? I thought it was pretty good, liked that they went into Ash trade. Definitely a better episode than the pilot, Sticky was a lot better in this episode.

So much for Fritz. The whole Dectective turned Vamp thing better start heating up.

Episode 2 showed that this series probably can't afford to do more than one action sequence per episode, with even fewer effects. Compared to this one, the pilot seems "big-budget," and that's a damn sad commentary.

However, I'm still hooked into the Krista plot, and it's nice to know that it's not just Blade's silly choice of gun that screwed him in his fight with Fritz last week. And I like the Reverand as a supporting character; he seems like a cool actor and I'm curious to learn more about him. I just wish this how had more Blade, less "vampires hanging out and staring at each other angrily."

And I have no idea where this thing with the detective could be going. I mean, now he's traveled to Kansas.

Next week: Sex. At least that's all I noticed in the preview. :p

I like where the show is headed. Was impressed with it so far. Still not enough "BLADE" in it but its getting interesting. I was hoping Krista would have turned on the chick, and let blade take fritz but guess not. Looking foward to next wednesday.

I liked it!! I like the Ash/Drug angle and I hope Krista is the next candidate for the Aurora project.

Yeah the ash/Drug thing is good. Would have been good for the movie storylines.

I bet she is. It'll present Blade with a nice conundrum - keep her as his personal spy, or catch and dissect her for information that might be even more useful?

That would be a great twist and put a great spin on the story. It wouldnt be just Blade killing every vampire he sees. This series has alot of potenial.

It was alright, Krista will become the next super vampire after she is injected with that serum so it will be interesting to see how that works out. At this point who's side is she really on? Krista killed Fritz to save Blade, but the blonde vampire chick didn't tell Markus on her, so were does it all lead? Will Krista embrace being a vampire & work with the others to take down Blade or will she eventually rejoin forces with Blade if she isn't killed in the process?

Blade understands her decision. Lets see how much trust he actually puts into her.

Pretty damn good. Sticky did a few lines that didn't sound like a Snipes impersonation! Jill Wagner shower scene! Sex next week! It's getting better, IMO. :D:D:D

Well Spike TV is never any good anyhow.

I missed the pilot but saw this. I think this Blade is terrible. It shows just how good Wesley Snipes was in the role, he is painful to watch try and act and imitate Wesley Snipes. But the subplots (like the Ash trade) and Krista and the vampire villains are interesting. I mean it is B-television but the swubplots work, Blade himself doesn't. It doesn't show much future unless Krista becomes the star, which she basically was in this episode (a good idea).

Also the action looks really cheesy on a TV budget by the way.

I think thats why its kept to a minimum. Im watching trinity right now, and snipes Kicks ass. Sticky could never replicate that.

Krista didn't kill Fritz to save Blade. She killed him after the blonde girl screamed "Don't let him (Blade) take Fritz". So in the Blonde girls eyes, Krista killed Fritz so that Blade couldn't capture him and learn the secret of the Aurora project...

I believe she did that so she could stay in neutral, think about it, if she didn't do anything, the vampires would be suspicious, but she could not do anything to blade, because he would probably kill her. So she killed fritz so the vamps thought she did it to keep blade from getting him, and so blade wouldn't think she was fighting him/against him.

OK, i re-watched the episode again last night, and heard the Blonde girl scream "Kill him (Fritz)" at Krista. In the preview of that episode it looks like she's screaming for Krista to kill Blade, but shes actually ordering her to kill Fritz.....

If that's the case then they may as well just cancel the fricken show. I can't speak for everyone else, but I find it refreshing to get back to a show where the male lead is the person kicking butt every week.

First there was Buffy.

Then there was Jessica Alba's TV show.

Then there was Alias.

This is Spike fricken TV. I want to see Blade kickin tail and MAYBE have Krista help every 4th episode or so.

She's excellent eye candy and I love having her on the show, but she should NOT be the focus of THIS show.

Well put, after all this is SPIKE the network for men, it's not the frickin Life time channel where they show women as tools of empowerment....

...is seems classic formula in most horror related pics that women are the ones who take down the monsters though....
