Deleting a shortcut in Windows Vista takes seven steps!

I don't really care. I use a Windows only b/c it's the lesser of 2 evils. I have nothing but bad experience with Macs.

(This is just to humor Wilhelm.)

You say you don't really care but go on to state that you've had nothing but bad experiences with Macs and also go out of your way to insult someone who's a Mac user for absolutely no reason other than you have no argument and an uninformed opinion. If you really think that Windows are a lesser evil than Macs then I will simply wish you much happiness with your seven steps of deletion of a shortcut in Vista.

I want to convert to Mac, but I'm scared of the whole new interface. :(

It's actually a lot more intuitive and easier to use than Windows once you get used to it. Find a local Apple Store (or authorized Apple specialist/reseller), CompUSA or Best Buy and go play with some Macs a bit. If you have an Apple store or a dealer who specializes in Macs locally, they can answer a lot of your questions. The guys at CompUSA and Best Buy don't know sh1t about Macs, though, so I'd only use those places as a place to get your hands on a Mac to play with. With the advent of the Intel Mac's and Bootcamp and Parallels, you can even run Windows on your Mac during your conversion if you really want to. I got forced to learn Macs as part of my job many years ago, which was a hard pill to swallow for a Windows NT Admin, but I quickly became a convert once I really started working with them. Being a creative person who writes and makes music, along with digital photography, home movies and more, I've fallen in love with my Macs. Once I set them up the way I want them, they just work so I can spend my time creating instead of just trying to keep my systems running. And, if I do want to tinker with them, or hack a bit, the command line is just a click away. Feel free to ping me if you ever have questions about Macs.
