Demo requirements same as actual game?

I've got call of duty for the pc here. but I havent removed the cellophane wrap. It says the minimum RAM required for it is 128 but past experiences have led me not to trust this so I dont want to remove the cellophane wrap first without trying one thing. I was going to download a demo of the game to see if that run remotely smooth on my computer, but I just wanted to know if it would be the same for the game. Any help would be appreciated.

Not always. A demo of a small level doesn't accurately represent your performance with the rest of the game, more enemies on screen, etc. The Far Cry PC demo for instance was completly inaccurate, it just depends on who made it. The system requirements themselves will of course be the same, but I wouldn't expect perfect demo performance to equal perfect full game performance.
