Describe YOUR dream CBM

Good to hear!

Yes, I think The Steel Claw showed up. I have a hardcover with The Steel Claw stories from Titan Books, but haven't read it yet. Looks interesting, though.

I would love a show based on Skjebnehansken (:hehe:)!

A hardcover collection with the Steel Claw? Sounds like a must have! Must google...I have hunted down various issues of the Swedish publications that printed The Steel Claw(Stålhanden) over here.(the magazines were SM Special and Seriemagasinet)

I think I got it from Amazon UK.

 Speaking of The Steel Claw, im trying to figure out a director for the property. It would have to be someone who can do out there special fx really well as well as suspense, aliens, gadgets and supervillains.

The only ones who i can think of at a short notice are Peter Jackson and Del Toro. Hmm, if it wasnt for Green Lantern i would say Martin Campbell. He did two of my favourite Bond films. There has to be some bondian aspects to Steel Claw, and he could handle the fx(they werent really the issue with the GL movie)maybe this could be a good movie for Campbell to do after the GL movie. He would probably never do a CBM again though.

Battling Boy movie by Kerry Conran(Director of Sky Captain).

An Adaptation of Magnus the Robot Fighter

Samurai Jack movie by Zack Snyder

I like this idea! I could also see Ewan McGregor as Alec Holland, before the transformation, in a new Swamp Thing movie.

I want a movie called Punisher Sux:hehe: it's a parody of The Punisher.

The Punisher: "Prepare to die, you sick bastard..."

11 year old boy: "Hey, man...it's only chewing gum. I'll give it back!"

The Punisher: "Mercy is for the weak!"

An Aquaman that goes against companies responsible for polluting the oceans, offering his enemies as blood sacrifice to the sea god in exchange for his powers. Aquaman is fine with this, believing it to be necessary evil so that his people can thrive. Among his subjects are those that believe Aquaman's dependency on supernatural aid will be the doom of their people.

Greenpeace presents Aquaman the movie!

That reminds me of my old movie idea; a group of superheroes with different political views. Captain Conservative, Liberal Lad, Libertariman the Randroid and The Anarchist Amazon.

Robber: "Give me that purse, man!"

Victim: "Heeelp, heeelp! I'm being robbed over here!"

Captain Conservative: "Stop it, you rat!" *beats up robber, there's blood everywhere*

Liberal Lad: "Holy unnecessary violence, Cap! He's just trying to feed his family...he's the real victim!"

Robber: "Well, actually...pthuii (spits out teeth) I work at the post office, and...(interrupted by kick to the groin)"

Cap: "You gotta be tough with guys like him, son. By the way, "Holy"? Finally seen the light?"

Victim 2: "Oh ***!!! Some crazy guy dressed up as a banana just stabbed me! Heeelp!"

Cap: "Hey, watch your language! I'm a bit busy waterboarding this guy over here...Libertariman? Amazon?"

Robber: "Blluughhrrr! Blughh!"

Libertariman (weird accent): "Well, don't look at me. I'm minding my own business over here. Besides, altruism is the root of all evil. And it looks like our Amazon has joined in the stabbing"

Cap: "Oh, for the love of...oh, ****!" *looks at twitching robber*

Liberal Lad: "He...he's dead! We're screwed..."

Cap: "...don't worry, uh...I'm rich!"

Goshdarn Batman, per your recommendation to Amazon.uk i tracked down this hardcover book with The Steel Claw. I also found this book featuring The Spider.(The british version) And to bring this thread back to life again(and back on topic) i also want to see a new Swamp Thing solo movie. Directed by Guillermo del Toro of course.

My dream CBMs:

* A retro-'80s sci-fi Batman movie, a caped b^$+^rd child of Blade Runner, the Mad Max movies, and the original Robocop.
* A retro-'30s action-adventure Superman movie, a sort of spiritual cross between the Flash Gordon serials, the old Warner Bros. gangster movies, and the Errol Flynn swashbucklers.
* The Mask as a really macabre black-comedy revenge movie, sort of in the spirit of the original comics.
* A more Dynamite-influenced revenge-drama Western version of The Lone Ranger, and for a sequel The Green Hornet as a period caper movie (in which Britt Reid is John Reid's grandnephew as originally created).
* A Transformers reboot loosely based on the first Dreamwave story, Devil's Due's first GI JOE/TF crossover and IDW's "All Hail Megatron": terrorists find the Transformers buried on Earth, reprogram and reactivate them as WMDs, but Megatron is just pretending and decides to lead the Decepticons proper in conquering the Earth, against which Earth's military might is pretty much useless and begrudgingly requires the Autobots' help.
* Robocop vs. The Terminator.
* A more detective-centric, less cartoony-looking Dick Tracy movie more akin to the Morgan Conway/Ralph Byrd movies of the '40s.

I knew about that one too, but I forgot to tell you about it. Please, forgive me :waa:

Interesting. What do you mean when you write sci-fi? Is Batman a cyborg in this version? I wouldn't mind it. The movie ends with a fight between Cyborg Batman and Joe Chill's brain in a giant robot.

Nooooooo to the Lone Ranger idea (leave the poor guy alone:csad:), but yes to the Green Hornet.

* Robocop vs. The Terminator.

This is one should have been made a long time ago.

Actually what I meant was more of a dystopic feel in general. You've got the emotionally-scarred bad^$$ hero in an equally-bad^$$ black car, going up against one gang of punk-haired, war-painted maniacs after another (Mad Max); you've got the sprawling city where the sun never shines thanks to all the industrial pollution, where the streets are teeming with scumbags and degenerates, and where advanced developments in genetic science end up going horribly awry, if not perverted to undesirable ends entirely (Blade Runner); you've got the crooked businessmen running pretty much everything in sight and a police force so horribly outmatched and worn-down they can barely risk leaving headquarters without already having their body armor on, and where the most abundant technological advancement is military-caliber hardware that almost always ends up in the wrong hands (Robocop).

A Spider-Man movie done in the tone and setting of Loeb & Sale's Spiderman Blue.
