Is 100 Bullets worth getting into? I read the first issue a while back, but the dialogue was so awful that I couldn't imagine reading 100 issues of it. The acclaim this book gets keeps me drawing back to it, so I was wondering if it was worth the investment?

Well, you could always download it for free from the internet like I did... If you don't like it, no big deal.

I however like it a LOT. Very cool characters and once you get well into it, the story starts to really develop more and more and everything starts to make a lot more sense. I plan on buying the entire tpb collection one day, probably all at once from ebay if I can find a good deal.

I strongly recommend at least reading the first few story arcs-- if you don't like it after that I guess it's not your thing. I think you'll like it though-- it's good.

I was joking, you're right, it's not essential, at all. None of the cardstock covers they do are, either for thier events or MAX and MK minis.

Supposedly it's cheap enough to produce comics now that going back to newsprint or using normal glossy paper instead of cardstock for covers or whatever would only result in negligible price drops on the consumer end. That's the line I read from someone at Marvel a while back, anyway.
