DYNAMO 5 #0 (now is the perfect time for a .99 comic)
INVINCIBLE #59
GHOST RIDER #32
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #10
X-MEN: KINGBREAKER #3

Looks like a solid and for once not overly expensive week, with only one $3.99 book (which is rare these days out of 5 comics).

I also encourage everyone who enjoys excellent team comics who has been trade waiting to buy the Cornell/Kirk CAPTAIN BRITAIN & MI-13 trade.

Only X-Men? I'm just as surprised as the rest of you.

I continue to be shocked at how few people here read Hellblazer and the Wildstorm World's End stuff.

HellBlazer seems to have hit a fanbase around 10k to 12k ever since issue #100, which was circa 1995... which is too bad, because I've loved the book (barring a few arcs here and there) since #1...

And no one really talks about it, either! It doesn't get any press when the other Vertigo books do. Lit hipsters will talk up Sandman or Pride of Baghdad every chance they get, and some of the more informed ones will even talk about Shade the Changing Man or even Madame Xanadu. But even after a freaking feature film, nobody checks out Hellblazer. And it's crazy, because no book (other than Sandman) that I can think of has ever been this consistently good, issue in, issue out, writer in, writer out.

I think it's the open-ended serialization thing that keeps the hipsters away. If it isn't one long-form story with a closed end like Gaiman's Sandman, or better yet, just a nice trendy "graphic novel" like Pride of Baghdad, it must be a dumb comic book. Unless it's Los Bros doing comics about fat ugly people in the future.

I didn't even notice they still published Hellblazer.

I picked up a few Hellblazer tpbs (original sin, a few by Ennis, and a couple by Azzarello) and I just wasn't that blown away. I liked the Azzarello stuff the best but none of it was really good enough to where I cared about buying it ever again.

Heavy X-Men week! I've decided with last issues spectacular ending to start up on X-Factor again so I'm excited there. Excited for Guardians and Kingbreaker. Can never get enough Space books. I also really enjoyed Dark Avengers, so I've been looking forward to this one. And Deodato is my favorate comic artist, so I'm loving it!

Deodato is my favorite artist as well, JH. Actually he has been my favorite since 97 or so when him and PAD were on Hulk. Now his art is better than ever and I think it was a great idea to continue that Ellis Deodato feel into DA by using the same art team.

Pags is becoming one of my faves as well. His work on the Incredible Hulk was awesome and it looks like he's kicking some serious ass on Agents of Atlas.

DARK HORSE COMICS
STAR WARS KNIGHTS OF OLD REPUBLIC #38 FAITHFUL EXECUTION $2.99

DC COMICS
MYSTERIUS THE UNFATHOMABLE #2 (OF 6) $2.99
SUPERMAN BATMAN #55 $2.99
TRINITY #38 $2.99

IMAGE COMICS
AMBER ATOMS #1 $3.50
JOHNNY MONSTER #1 (OF 3) $3.50

(I seem to be willing to try virtually anything from Image for an issue or two these days...)

MARVEL COMICS
CAPTAIN BRITAIN AND MI 13 TP VOL 01 SECRET INVASION $15.99 (I may get this just so I can say I've done everything I could to help Captain Britain and MI-13 succeed. Even if I don't, though, I hope it still sells well. It's a series that deserves to continue.)
GUARDIANS OF GALAXY #10 $2.99
INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #9 2ND PTG VAR $2.99 (I may get this. I just started reading IIM with #10 and haven't been able to find earlier parts of the "World's Most Wanted" arc.)
X-FACTOR #40 $2.99
X-MEN KINGBREAKER #3 (OF 4) $3.99
X-MEN LEGACY #221 $2.99

COMICS
STREET FIGHTER IV #1 (OF 4) $3.95 (Maybe.)
ZOMBIES THAT ATE THE WORLD #1 (MR) $3.50 (I'll buy pretty much anything Guy Davis does, and this actually sounds like a fun take on the zombie fad that's pervading comics lately.)

I meant to check out Hellblazer for a while, but I never found a good spot to jump on and then I sort of forgot about it. I want to read some trades first to get a feel for Constantine too, and I'm notorious for procrastinating on actually buying and reading trades.
