Specifically, their whereabouts and ability to aid during the events that unfolded with Man of Steel.

Now, it's no doubt been asked before, about why they weren't present, and I can get on board with the concept that they just didn't have time to do anything.

The obvious reason is that when the film was made, nobody knew it would be launching a shared universe, but I'm more focused on an in-universe explanation here.

The events that took place during Man of Steel happened in a relatively short period of time, and I could believe that the Atlantians simply weren't aware of what was going on until the terra forming started.

Diana on the other hand is living in modern times, and keeps track of what's going on, but it's fair to say that she could've been anywhere in the world and simply not local enough to aid.

The question I'd like to pose though is what could they have done if they had been present; is Kryptonian tech that much superior to Atlantian tech, and could Diana of held her own against Zod or his troops?

I suspect it was also long before the shared universe was an idea too, but could Jonn Jonzz have aided in any way here? Assuming the Snyder Cut unveils him, he's had his eye on Clark for some time if we look into scenes from Dawn of Justice.

I like this question.

I think Atlantian tech is slightly on par with Kryptonian tech. They are derived from magic which is what makes them a threat. They should also be able to withstand a hit from a Kryptonian very easily.

Can WW take on Zod and co? Yes. She should be at her peak powers by now. She's a magical creature, has items blessed by the gods and is a master fighter. They should make her sweat but w/being such an expert warrior goddess...they should be afraid.

Thanks! :-)

What about her interaction with Clark during Justice League?

Superman seemingly had the upper hand there, and (respectfully) he's just a hero. Zod is a soldier with equal powers, and added tactical/warrior/combat knowledge..

You could say that Diana was holding back herself as she didnt want to hurt him. Though I thought that it wasnt that great of a battle tbh.

More of a scuffle, huh? And yeah, I suppose she may have been holding back, but then we fast forward to the fight with Steppenwolf; Diana managed to hold her own but it was Superman that managed to essentially wipe the floor with him.

I think that the fight in JL (Which REALLY seems like it was part of the footage that Snyder shot and created from the jump...) is the current last word on Supes' power level compared to the other DCEU heroes.

Long story short...

He's SUPERMAN.

I would say both Diana and Arthur are NOT the average Amazon or Atlantean in terms of raw physical power. And they were shown to still be lacking in comparison to Superman.

As for tech vs. Zod and crew... If you look at what the Black Zero and the Terraforming machine were doing, I'm sorry but I don't know of anything we've seen from either the Atlanteans or Amazons as being in that league of tech in terms of the power required to do what Zod had planned. And I don't see anything they have that could have destroyed either Zod's ship or the Terraformer.

Quite literally...

That was a job for Superman.

The only way for DCU-Arthur or DCU-Diana, with their own power level (which is lower than a kryptonian), to alone take on ONE kryptonian (let's suggest either Zod or Faora) without getting totally beat up, is if he/she also had The Flash' speed (he's a little bit faster than Superman).
Weaker in strenght but a moving at a greater speed, would maybe equal a kryptonian.
