Different Batman Comics

I currently read spider-man comics and have thought that it would be nice to read some other comics and i thought of batman.

First of all, who are the publisher of batman comics?

Second, what is the main batman comic series, or in your opinion the best to read?

Please briefly describe the comic series that you mention

1. DC comics is the publisher
2. I'd say Batman is the main one, but hard to say the best right now. It could be either that or Detective Comics.
3. Haven't read either of the new issues yet, so I can't. I'm expecting them later this week.

Right now is a good time to get Batman since it is kind of at a starting point with Grant Morrison and Paul Dini starting their runs. Batman just started a four part series involving his supposed son. Also Detective with Dini are going to be more of one a issue shot.

dini just recently stated (at comic-con) that his issues arent quite as stand alone as you think.

Batman first appeared in Detective Comics. But the main title for Bats now is Batman. And all the Batman titles have all the villains.
