Hi. So last year, I attend an editing class.

I edited a video (that was filmed by my classmates) for a class assignment.

I'm proud of my editing work, so I wanted to showcase this edited video on Vimeo.com.

The file size is 1.11 GB.

When I try to upload the file to vimeo, I get a message that says "my video file size exceeded the weekly 500MB upload"

If I upgrade to Vimeo plus or pro, I can upload to 20GB per week. But it's chargeable and I don't wish to pay for it.

So GB is bigger than MB?

Is there other alternative solutions that I can consider?

How do I make my file smaller in order to upload to Vimeo?

I don't know how to do it. I'm not a technical person.

Can anybody help me with this?

1000 mb is 1gb. You'd need to cut the filesize roughly by a bit more than half. Try a few different video formats and see if it drops it any. You may need to drop the quality of it as well.

This'll get booted to the tech section by a mod soon so don't take offense. It's just going to people who frequent it who can help more.

Yeah, I know I just didn't want to edit my post.

Also, it's 24 mb. That's barely noticable. :o
