i got the agumon with tai getup

Got mine pre-ordered as well. The 5th can't get here soon enough.

loving the presentation of this game so far, but it bothers the hell outta me that I can't swing the camera around my character.

Annoyed me at first too, but so far the levels really aren't all that big. So a rotating camera is luckily not needed.

Here's my current lineup, after 4-5 hours with the game.

yeah, it' not necessarily needed but it just feels so wrong to not have it included haha

ah, you got 3 digimon already and made them champions already? i'm guessing you picked terriermon at the start.

i went with palmon, but I had the preorder dlc which was agumon with tai getup, blackagumon, blackgabumon, and beelzemon - but...do I get them later in the game or something?

You get your pre-order Digimon after Chapter 1 I think. From the woman next to the detectives office. And Beelzemon is just an evolution I think.

What's the plot? I liked the one from the anime about the Digimon Sovereigns.

yes! i spoke to the woman and got my digimon. i'm really confused about the digimon party space though, like why does one digimon take up like 8 spaces of memory? what is the point of that?

i'm still very early on in the game, chapter 2 but it starts off with a mysterious sickness called "eden coma" that you investigate. then this detective hires you as an assistant you do work for her.

The premise, for the moment, is a bit similar to the .hack and Sword Art Online series. There's a massive VR Cyberworld called EDEN, and people mysteriously fall into a coma. And you basically investigate the cause behind it. But unlike .hack and SAO, people's consciousness aren't trapped in the VR world, as far as we know. I'm not all that far in the game yet. Only reached chapter 3 and I'm still working on some random cases.

If you really like Digimon, and you like JRPGs, I can recommend it. Been playing it for 8 hours so far, haven't really encountered any giant revelations yet, since I'm mostly busy training my Digimon, but I'm really enjoying it. If you need more encouragement, I often see people comparing this to the Persona series. And I'd have to agree, it's pretty much Persona: Digimon Edition.

so far from the way i've experienced it, the random encounters are pretty easy but then when you have boss fights it becomes much, much harder.

Working on a way right now, to get quick XP. I need my Wargreymon now!

Oh, no, no, no. I don't have any Ultimates yet. But I'm working towards it. Got two Platinum Sukamon. One Platinum Sukamon gives you double XP in battle. And the effect stacks. So instead of the regular 200 XP per fight, I now get 800 XP. Now imagine if you had 3 of them in your battle party.

This would by my normal lineup at the moment.

And this is team XP Boost. Kyubimon one-shots everything, and the Platinum Sukamons provide the XP boost.

ah, so you're in the subway with Arata at the moment, looks like we're right around the same spot (chapter 4?) what did you do to get your platinum sukamon? also, does his xp boosters work for the whole party or just himself?

You get a Tsumemon, Digivolve it to a Keramon, then PlatinumSukamon. The booster works for the whole Party, but your PlatinumSukamons need to be active in battle. And every Digimon you got benched on your Team roster, will benefit from the XP boost.
