And I want to say that it is a disgrace that neither Burton, Gilliam or Lurhmann got to the finals (but Zemeckis did = )

Didn't get to vote in time, but the win makes sense to me. Cuaron has made some quality films no doubt, but he doesn't quite have the hefty body of work to match Nolan's. Which is also why an older director will most likely win this tournament.
