Director's Challenge (Game of Thrones) Thread

You people wouldn't know talent if it came and kissed you right in the mouth.

That is no way to introduce oneself. Why not just come by and say "Hi I'm talent"

"Hi talent, I'm dad"

I much admit Denis Villeneuve interests me much more, and ultimately in the long run will be one of the all time greats. However he hasn't carved out the career Aronofsky has just yet. Darren Aronofsky

Denis Villenueve. Not familiar with Aronofsky at all and Prisoners is simply one of the best crime thrillers this decade and Sicario looks awesome.

Bob is one of the masters, no doubt. He has made some amazingly entertaining films and they stand with the best of the best... But... I have always felt that consciously or not he does have a Spielberg-lite quality. And that's fine, directors have influences and they come through often but when comparing directors I thing the more original the voice the better. The Coen's have a distinct voice that's been apparent from the start working in a variety of genres and stories. Think about it... RAISING ARIZONA, MILLER'S CROSSING, OH BROTHER WHERE ART THOUGH, FARGO... all by the same duo. There are some duds too, or just some that I think got away from them (LADYKILLERS) but the good far outweigh the bad, and they still seem vital creatively. II liked FLIGHT but more for Denzel's performance and it didn't get me excited for Bob's next film. I am always interested in the Coen's next film. So... Coen Bros.

Jeez this is getting tough.

The Coen Brothers. If it wasn't for the Big Lebowski, I'm not sure if I still would've made the same decision.

Black Narcissus doing a great favour and some great work for the forum !!!

At last, a sport without a corrupted referee !!!

Wait until he finds out Quentin Tarantino is going to put him in yet another film. :cwink:

Coens, for no country, blood simple, and llewyn davis. Hard to vote against the roger rabbit director, though.
