Discussion: A Music Sub-Forum in the Community Section of the Hype

I've been thinking about it, and why don't we get a Music sub-forum for the community forum? I mean, we've got politics, the community, and fan art, so why not one for music? New albums, concert tours, and general music discussion deserve a home too!

I'm a huge music fan, it's my main hobby, so obviously I'm not very impartial, but it seems to me that if we've got a Sports forum, we ought to have music one as well.

Yeah music at this point is pretty much my life. So I guess you could say I am not impartial as well.

No, "theoretically" we could have as many as the hardware could support.

That being said, we have so many, that we really are hesitant to create more at this time.

The subject of a Music forum has been brought up over and over and over and over and over around here and it's obviously just not something that's desired by Mirko or the site Admins. I've given up all hope of it ever happening.

instead of a strictly music section, what about a Fine Arts section or something with a better title.

This could be for like books, music, magazines, blogs, podcasts, news, etc?

How many music related threads are there right now in community that don't involve something that can be put into the celebrity forum or having to do with some stupid game like last song you heard while taking a dump? Really?

I know most of us value Soulja Boy over The Olympics but seriously.

We also need a Philosophy and religion forum, that would clear up communitty alot. I also agree on the Fine Arts segment.

This just doesn't make sense. Why have a subforum devoted to Celebrities, but not one for Music? I think people getting the oppurtunity to discuss their favorite bands and artists is much more lucrative than discussing the most recent antics of Britney Spears.

Actually, it makes complete sense. Before the celebrity forum was created 85% of the topics in community was all celebrity gossip. It warranted it's own forum because of the high volume of celebrity threads being created. Opposed to the low number of music related threads being created right now.

Also, if you want to get technical, you can just you know, create threads about your favorite bands in the celebrity forum anyway.
