New Details On Disney's Live-Action GODMOTHERED Movie Which Will Reportedly Be Coming To Disney+

Disney is putting together quite a few live-action movies as of late, some of which will debut exclusively on their upcoming streaming service. Apparently, they're working on another for Disney+ which is based on the Fairy Godmother character from Cinderella.

It's said that the film will be live-action and is currently titled: Godmothered. Sharon Maguire, of the Bridget Jones's Diary movies, is reportedly on board to direct.

According to a new report by The DisInsider, Justin Springer (Dumbo, TRON: Legacy), Melissa Stack (The Other Woman), and Kari Granlund (Lady and The Tramp) have joined the project. Stack and Granlund are attached as writers but Springer will produce.

Additionally, included in the report are some details about the story of Godmothered. "The film is set in a ‘gothic, mystical, magical world of fairy godmothers in a parallel universe’ and focuses on a young fairy godmother trying to help a single working mother find her “happily ever after”!"

Rosalind Chao Joins Disney+ ‘Godmothered’ (Exclusive) -

We have exclusively learned that Mulan tstar, Rosalind Chao, has joined the cast of Godmothered, which is set to release on Disney+.

She’s up for two roles in the film but she may be leaning towards Moira, the head of the Godmothers.
