That doesn't take away from the power he has. You'd have been better off pointing out that it's impossible for a Genie to kill anyone. And since Hades is a God, even incarceration wouldn't work.

that's the first i pointed out: Hades is a god. and depending on which source you read, the Underworld can be pretty limitless, going beyond the physical and the metaphysical level.

Jafar is a malicious genie, although he's not supposed to kill anyone directly, it wouldnt be beyond his power to make life miserable for the poor soul until he kicks the bucket. but as always Jafar has to answer to a master. that's the binding contract of his "omnipotence"-- he can have almost limitless power, but he still has to answer to someone else.

Well, were it more acurate, they'd have to have all the stuff with Zeus cheating on Hera with every 18 year old bimbo that caught his eye. That would be hard to explain to the kiddies. So they changed it to Hades.
