Do you and your friends have a hangout you go to most of the time?

Pre-Covid, my buddies and I would hang out at a pub downtown all the time. Usually to catch a game or play pool. Nowadays we usually hang out at my one friend's house, because he has the nice rec room and bar. But it's much less frequent.

I did, but both have closed for good :(
That sucks. Mine was a sandwich shop (think Central Perk meets a deli) but between COVID and us heading into our thirties, it got hard to keep doing it. :O

Yeah, it happens. Looking back, it was crazy how my friends and I would meet up once or twice a week at least for food & drinks and now I barely see any of them. Part of getting old I guess, and I’m 36 lol

My spots was a taco shop where we would usually meet up to watch soccer games and have beers & tacos. Got to the point where we became friendly with some of the staff and even got free food & drinks at times. The other spot was a total dive bar you would probably second guess into going, but it had a great craft beer selection and the best Philly cheesesteaks I’ve ever had.

Both places went under new ownership and everything about those spots changed

I did when I used to drink. It was a coffee shop during the day and a bar at night. I’d spend days watching superhero shows there when things got weird at home, and then my friends would come by at night. Even though some patrons brought some bad energy, it was the closest thing I ever had to a sitcom-style hangout spot. It’s torn down now, but I drive by the old lot and think about the absolutely insane times I had at this place. In the basement, basically anything was allowed. Sex, drugs, rock n roll, and the owner didn’t care as long as the cops weren’t around. Really chill place that served as the setting for many of my wildest adventures.

Before that, it was definitely my local mall. I was an archetypal mallrat during my middle school and early high school years. I met a lot of friends just by being a mallrat emo kid, walking around and getting into trouble! I smoked for the first time in the mall parking lot. Nowadays, the local mall is a lot more dangerous, lots of theft and violence, it’s sad what has become of it.

I'm an old family man.....haven't gathered with friends regularly for 30 years.

a friend and i frequent the same restaurant when we have lunch or dinner, but it's not really a hangout for us.

these days, most of my hangouts are at my house or another friend's house.

I only really hang out over the waist of my trousers... :rimshot:
