I'm an X-Files fan and I think they need to bring it back with new episodes or just re-boot the show. IMO now is a perfect time for a show like that. With all the conspiracy theories flying all over the internet it would just seem like a natural fit. What do you think?

I'd love to see the series return with a limited run of 12-13 episodes like what 24 is getting. Especially since a third movie seems pretty unlikely to happen at this point.

X-Files is the a legacy type show, where it can go on for however long you want it to even without the main characters. I wouldnt mind if they brought it back but only if whats his name is the one bringing it back.

How are the Season 10 comics going? And do they take place in 2012 whent he colonization is finaly going to happen or after that?

I don't know about new show, but definitely new movie (and mythology based one). I don't think a new series could recapture the magic of the first, even with Scully and Mulder.

The format of the show lent itself to it lasting like long shows such as Doctor Who; when the principle actors left, they could cast new agents and keep it going. However, at this point in time, Season 10's going to be the only continuation of the saga: the last film bombed and Fox seems loathe to greenlight another production. The only variables that work in favor of it are that Anderson and Duchovny are not committed to major productions at this point, with Californication's last season...and Chris Carter has fallen silent, after his production Fencewalker was shelved (I was disappointed as I was excited about it.)

I was a huge fan of the show from day one till the end, and as much as I loved it, with the exception of Agents Doggett and Reyes, I think the series should just be left as is... it had it's heyday and even with Duchovny and Anderson returning or even new performers playing new agents, I just don't see it recapturing that former magic... as much as Chris Carter did for the show, I just don't think that even HE can bring that magic back to a new production...

I dont see why it would asking too much from Fox to give X-Files a 12 episode run like they did with 24. It's a better option than another movie in my opinion.

If it goes the way of a 12 Episode series like 24 is doing now I'd be all for it but I think David could be too busy with his other two shows he has going on now and Gillian has been a few shows recently.
