I hear that they're looking at James Wan to direct. That'd be an interesting choice.

With the Producers of 300 and Immortals shaping the project. I can just imagine fans getting upset if either Zach Snyder or Tarsem Singh were attached to direct.

I feel like the world moved on to Gundam for their men in giant robots suits in wartime stories.

Really need to play up the aliens to make it different.

Gundam isn't particularly famous outside of Japan, or anime fans. And possibly Italy.

Robotech I feel, may be old, but it had a wider, more mainstream audience.

Gundam Wing was the only Gundam franchise that really got popular in America at least.
