Does anyone know if Virgin Mobile is a good carrier?

I want to get a Blackberry but dont want to spend a ton.

They seem to have the BB Curve 8530 for 199 and their cheapest monthly plan is $35 which seems good enough for me.
But is this carrier any decent?

I have had them going on 5 years and never had any problems. I have the 25 dollar 300 min, unlimited web/text plan and I hardly make a dent out of that 300 min thing. they use the Sprint towers so calls are good quality, I have called my brother in California (I live in NY) and had nothing but good quality in the call. I am currently using the Intercept 'android' but as soon as my tax $$$ comes in I am swapping that out for the Optimus 'android'.

Been using them for a few years or so, and just switched from a regular phone to a smart, which works decent.

my ONLY problem with them was if i was in certain buildings like say a Wal mart or similar store i would loose signal (both call and the internet). but if I was in a mall, I would have full signal, and if I was in the middle of nowhere, away from major roads I would loose/get back/loose signal from time to time. but when I am in my town or any other major city/town I would always have full signal.
