I'm a 3D artist and looking to model spider-man for my portfolio. After looking through a bunch of ref pics i came across this drawing. The style of it is just awesome and i was wondering if anyone knows the name of the artist who produced this?

Thanks Doc Destruction. Checked out Ramos spiderman art though and i'm not too sure it is him, the eyes are bout the same but this artist makes the frames of the eyes 3D to an effect(i know i'm bein picky, lol!). Heres another pic i found.

If it is actually him then i apologise. Just want to get a lot more ref so i can start modelling a 3D version of him.t:

First of all, I'm going to assume you're not John Bellamy. If that's the case, you'd better turn those embedded images into links before the mods find out.

Secondly, the name of the files are spidey_by_ZurdoM.jpg and spidey_page_1_by_ZurdoM.jpg.

I hit up google for "Zurdo M" and found www.zurdom.com which is the online resume of an artist who simply goes by the name Zurdom. I even found those pictures you posted.

What the **** are you talking about??? That is NOT bad art. And it's WAY better than Ramos.

The art has a cartoony aspect similar to Ramos, but I'd say it's a step or two more realistic than his. It certainly doesn't hurt that this ZurdoM guy does much better coloring than Ramos ever gets, and his background scenery is awesome.

Yeah, for sure. There's just so much damn detail and the coloring does make it look top-notch.

Ramos' backgrounds are awesome, too. I can't stand his figures, but I think both Ramos and this Zurdom dude are fantastic artists who just have different sensibilities from my own.
