(This post contains some spoilers for "Worlds Finest.")

Cat figured it out once already, and cited a number of observations from the first half of the season ("Hostile Takeover"). In particular, she knows Kara was able to overhear Dirk even though he wasn't in earshot, and there is no alternate explanation for that.

She knows James and Winn are Supergirl's sidekicks. She also knows James, Winn and Kara are good friends. Kara as sidekick is the glaring piece missing from this equation.

Cat knows Supergirl and the Flash worked together. Cat knew Barry was the Flash. She saw Barry hanging out with Kara, James and Winn, who all tried (and failed dismally) to explain who he was. At the end of the episode, Kara blatantly admitted that she, James and Winn had known Barry was the Flash, no doubt through their association with Supergirl.

She knows aliens and other superpowers exist, so even if she doesn't know exactly how Supergirl could have manufactured the illusion of Kara and Supergirl being in the same room, she must know that such illusions are possible.

We've seen throughout the series that she's very observant and very sharp, often waiting until the right moment to speak about something she's been observing for a while.

In "Worlds Finest", she said, "I still believe in Supergirl." Then she looked at Kara and said sharply, "And you should, too!" There seemed to be an enormous amount of subtext in that line. It seemed like the world's shortest and most timely pep talk, from someone who knew exactly what Supergirl needed to hear.

Out of all the people in the city, Kara was "randomly" or "mistakenly" kidnapped by Bizarro while on a date with Adam. What a coinkydink.

I'm sure there is more evidence I'm forgetting.

So, does Cat know Kara is Supergirl? Or have I just answered my own question?

I think the current implication is J'onn J'onzz successfully convinced her that she wasn't.

I have no clue. Logically, the scene in Worlds Finest was a huge unsubtle hint that "Yes, I Know", but the writing quality on the show is such that it could just be an unsubtle, poorly conceived bit of humor. So. . . who knows?

I think she still knows. The episode with J'onn just set her back some in being able to explain it.

If Cat is as smart as the show presents her, yes she should know even after the Martian impersonation.

I think in the back of her mind she still thinks so, but she's not saying anything yet.

Either way I think that scene was funny...

I'm convinced that Cat realized that she was wrong to be so pushy before and is therefore pretending to remain ignorant of Kara being Supergirl.

If she does know, I hope that Cat does not admit it until the Series finale.

But I would argue that they could show us that she knows without having her tell Kara that she does.

I'm wondering if they're going to go the silent route: Cat knows, Kara knows that she knows, Cat knows that Kara knows that she knows, but neither of them ever mention it aloud.

Cat's also narcissistic enough to enjoy the fact that she has Supergirl fetching her coffee.

I'd also say the "took you long enough" statement before Kara busted off the cuffs was a hint that she knows.

I hope they don't go the Det Lance route and make him ignorant, only for him to later say "I should've guessed" when he did finally discover Oliver Queen's identity. He also first suspected Queen was the Arrow in Season 1, and then saw all of Oliver's buddies hanging round with the Arrow. We speculated that he really did know underneath but that he pretended not to know, but it seems that wasn't quite the case when the reveal was finally made.

I don't want Cat to have been duped all along. She should just say that she knew Kara was Supergirl all the time, but simply retreated publicly from her position until a more strategic time when she could gather more irrefutable evidence, and when Kara felt safe enough to trust her.

If she can tell Barry is the Flash through a mask, and even just by piecing other things together, then surely she can see through Kara's glasses disguise, especially when she has even taken Kara's glasses off and seen her face as it is.

Wasn't J'onn filmed when he shapeshifted from his Martian Manhunter form to his Hank form? There were plenty of bystanders nearby as well as police and DEO agents. Surely someone must've posted this on social media. And Cat would surely have her finger on the pulse that she would catch wind of this. If she sees that shapeshifting is possible, then she should conclude that this was used to try to convince her that Kara wasn't Supergirl.

At the end of "Falling", Supergirl was behaving and speaking very much like Kara: more subdued and uncertain. And in that episode, at the same time that Supergirl went bad, Kara decided to be much bolder at the office both with her attitude and outfits. What's the explanation for that?

And what's the harm in Cat knowing, especially since Max Lord knows Kara's identity? Cat is more trustworthy than Max.

This last episode, and the snap of the finger, totally told me that Cat knows....no doubt.

Why didn't Kara try to deny that Barry was the Flash, just like she did when she denied she was Supergirl? Instead, she just confirmed it when she said "wait, you know that Barry is the Flash?"

Why not? He's not from that earth, so why would it matter if Cat knew who he was or not....

If that were the case, then why did she and James and Wynn try to say that he was their cousin, and why did Kara still speak about him in those terms when she wanted to go and see him off? I would've thought her denial would've just been an instinctive reaction like when she denied her own secret identity.

Because that is their automatic reaction, they saw very quickly that it was crazy to try, and even Barry nixed that....but that is almost a reflex for them to come up with a story.

But that's partly my point. If that's their automatic reaction, then that should've kicked in again when Cat said to Kara that she knew who Barry was, and she should've tried to deny like she did about her own identity.

It did, she immediately went back to "my cousin" thing and then realized....oh well, that is going anywhere, and then when Cat pretty much had it 100% correct.....ok....well then our stupid excuses aren't going to work.

She might indeed know, but, "took you long enough" is just Cat being Cat.
