I thought about picking up the Cursed Child but then I saw that it was in script form.. and I said **** it. For some reason I thought Rowling had written it as a book.
You could watch it and form your own opinion, but the consensus is yes.
Choppy editing is a recurring criticism I'm seeing.
I think an article said that WB hired a company that makes trailers to edit the movie instead of actually trusting the editor that Ayer had. One of the early reviews did say that the first act is paced similar to a movie trailer or music video.
