Seeing the reviews for Dark Phoenix :

Its pathetic that they got a second chance to adapt the Dark Phoenix story and they somehow managed to do it worse than Brett ****ing Ratner. And worse still, Marvel Studios wont try to adapt Dark Phoenix again anytime soon, because Fox has so tainted the storyline.

I honestly could go my whole life never seeing or hearing about Jean Grey ever again and be quite happy and I have felt like that long before X3.

The character and story was played out and regurgitated so many times in the comics all to diminishing returns in my view that having an MCU version that has an actually personality and a reason to be included in the story beyond just dying and then getting the Phoenix Force would be refreshing.
