Sci-Fi Dune

I don't know how I imagined Walken in the role, but this ain't in, and I mean that as a complete compliment. That line about Leto... there has to be a knife fight afterwards! Someone's gotta go!

Walken playing it seriously, we're in for the good ****

'Three-film saga' ?

Did this confirm Dune Messiah?

Apologies if this was known, I had no idea. :cowboy:

That would be great, if he extended it to the next book, which closes out Paul's narative.
And people can finally see Luke and Leia, I mean Adam and Adora, sorry Leto and Ghanima be born.
I’m not up to date on news so it would be new to me if this is confirmed. Really rooting for Denis to be up for it.

I think it's quite likely that he will be as he's talked publicly about that before, and that they didn't shoot both Dune films at the same time seems to have been a blessing in disguise since Denis said that he would probably have been burned out with that workload, and then he might not be as eager to do more.

We'll have to wait until after Rendezvous With Rama in any case though.

Great to know, thanks.

Seems like it’s working out for the best allowing him to focus on one film at a time fully, so he has the energy to do more.

I just hope it’s not over 3 hours by a lot. I don’t mind long movies in the cinema but watching them at home can be a bit of a slog.

Possibly not great for box office potential, but I personally couldn't be happier. It's great that they're really taking their time. Can't wait!
What's not great for its box office potential is its current release date. They really need to move it up a couple weeks so it has some breathing room before The Marvels takes all the IMAX/premium screens.

That too! None of these movies have any breathing room.

what if this movie gets pushed to 2024 because of the strike? Some movies will not be ready for 2024 so dates will open.

Could happen. They may not even have completed ADR yet in which case they have to push it back.

I've thought about this myself. Not just for Dune but other big blockbusters on the horizon. Like how if the strike goes on for months I can absolutely see Disney/Marvel pushing The Marvels back to May even if it's 100% finished because there's no way that Deadpool 3 would be able to make that date.
