Durarara!! Relay Japanese release date set

PS Vita adventure game set for late January.
Durarara!! Relay will launch for PS Vita in Japan on July 29, Kadokawa Games announced at the Dengeki Bunko Fall Festival.

The game’s theme song is “Reason…” by Toshiyuki Toyonaga.
A limited edition version of Durarara!! Relay will include a drama CD called “Senkaku Banrai” (Flood of Customers).
The adventure game is set in Ikebukuro during the winter time, and features an original story different from the anime. The story is told in chapters, and uses a system which has players switching between characters during each one.

Aniplex recently shared a trailer for the Durarara!! x2 anime, which is currently in production.

Aniplex recently shared a trailer for the Durarara!! x2 anime, which is currently in production. The sequel to the previous Durarara series is being produced at studio Shuka, which was formed as recently as June of last year.

Durarara!! x2 will introduce a few new characters, including Mizuki Akabayashi, Vorona, and Chikage Rokujo. Meanwhile, the returning characters will be voiced by their original voice-actors.

Durarara!! x2 will begin airing in 2015, and there will be a release gap of several months between each part. Part 1 of the series will air in January, followed by part 2 in July, and part 3 premiering in January 2016.

Kadokawa Games has released the debut full-length trailer for Durarara!! Relay.
The upcoming PS Vita game will have an original story different from the anime, new events told from various characters’ points of view via a Relay system that switches between characters each chapter, a 3D map of Ikebukuro to explore, and high-quality event scenes by anime studio Shuka.

Latest look at upcoming PS Vita game.
The latest set of Durarara!! Relay screenshots detail the game’s various systems, including “Relay,” the chapter “Chart,” “AP” and “RP,” and “Relation Events.”
Get the details below.

Relay System
Players can walk the streets of Ikebukuro in a 3D reproduction, gathering information and items while advancing the story. The “Relay System” puts players in the role of a different character for each chapter.

Chapter Chart
Players can see each chapter at a glance via the “Chart.” As you progress through the story, you’re free to go back to previous chapters and pick up any events or items you might have missed.

AP and RP
In the upper left area of the screen, you’ll find your “AP” and “RP” levels. AP is consumed when performing specific actions (for example, talking to Walker Yumasaki or Kyohei Kadota costs one AP). As for RP, or “Relation Points,” doing all the scenarios before they disappear will clear a chapter, and you can use the RP to deepen relationships with characters on the map in the new chapter.

Relation Events
While walking around the map, you can talk to characters standing around the city using your RP to deepen your “Relation.” When this Relation deepens, it is possible to see special conversation events between characters.

Characters
Characters from the Anime – An overwhelming number of characters—approximately 40—from the TV anime appear fully-voiced.

Bonuses
The drama CD “Thousands of Visitors” is included with the limited edition. Pre-orders include the “Everybody is Friends” five post card set.

The first episode will be available for streaming via Hulu, Crunchyroll, and the Aniplex Channel.

The English dub of Durarara!! x2 will begin streaming today, March 10th, Aniplex USA have announced. The first episode will be available for streaming via Hulu, Crunchyroll, and the Aniplex Channel, with new episodes added every Tuesday henceforth.

Durarara!! x2 marks the first time that Aniplex have released an English dub for a show as it is still airing in Japan. The full list of actors for the dub is as follows:
