Anybody got a good, free program to rip DVDs? And maybe give me a quick walkthrough of how to use it?

i really am gonna keep it to myself but just out of curiosity, this is an unauthorized Guns N Roses documentary. would it really matter if someone made copies and sold them since its unauthorized?

Yeah i normaly. copy it with dvd dy to my hard drive as an iso. then use dvd shrink to re author it (take out all the trailers and crap) and put it back onto a blank dvd

DVDFab and Imageburn work the best for me.

Use DVD Shrink to rip the VOBs & then AutoGK if you want automatic Xvid encoding

In dvd decrypter goto MODE > ISO > and make sure Read is ticked. and burn the iso image onto disk with dvd shrink honestly it will be all you ever need (apart from some sony disks wont copy)

Not sure i do have Nero on my system but i dont know if shrink uses that to burn the images. I might have used it on someone's else's system with out Nero but i cant be sure.

DVD Shrink can't burn by itself, you need either Nero (version 7 or lower), ImgBurn (version 2.3.2.0 or lower), or DVD Decrypter.
