Dwayne Johnson to go on a Rampage

It would be nice to see him with a different look in his film appearances.

never got round to seeing it - any good? Apart from abject clothing choices?

You get two one dimensional british brothers as sidekicks and Alexandra Daddario and Carla Gugino in flimsy tank tops for most of the movie. Is what it is.

To keep liability down, go to Youtube search the trailer and go for the most recent upload.

:o

After watching it, it does feel like a spectacle and they definitely gave it more depth than the video games did. I like that Johnson is viewing the creatures in a sympathetic manner and knows they aren't the bad guys but are just scared due to their sudden size increase. My only gripe is that they seem to be playing it straight and not as more of a kaiju satire as I had hoped.

I can't wait to see the HQ version tomorrow. I'm really digging the Rock and George's connection.

The Wolf is on all fours? I thought it would be more like a Werewolf.

Exactly the same outfit from The Rundown (Welcome to the Jungle), whatever it was called.

I still think it’s funny that the Rock ended up making a completely different movie 15 years later or so called Welcome to the Jungle (Jumanji).

Saw the trailer... this should be called Rise of the Planet of Jumanji: Skull Island.

This looks like a fun ride

that's really all you can ask from a Rampage movie

I was hoping they'd be anthropomorphic, and be humans transformed into the animals like the original video game.

Looks ok I guess.

I'm not gonna lie, I kind of dug it. :funny:

I'm surprised it's not a comedy but I can appreciate them playing it straight but I hope it doesn't take itself too seriously tonally. It's just hard to tell how serious they're playing it. To the point where I can't help but chuckle when Naomi Harris is very seriously giving exposition about giant animals. It's called Rampage for God's sake. It's a movie about giant animals fighting each other. Have some fun. This movie could go either way in varying degrees. Like it could be bad in trying to be a Jurassic Park way that's way too serious to the point of hilarious (I mean I didn't expect a ****ing Smashing Pumpkins song in a Rampage trailer :funny: could be for the right or wrong reasons) or it'll be absolutely idiotic in not knowing what it is. Or the know what it is and execute it accordingly.

I don’t like that they’re putting so much emphasis on one animal and pushing the others to the side.

I'm still not sure what this is about-- are these monsters who are to be sympathetic or are they just monsters that the humans are trying to beat?

My headcannon says it's a poster for a donkey Kong movie with the rock as princess peach
