I can't imagine Jeffrey Dean Morgan playing Negan in a suit is going to help ticket prices. Nearly every time I've seen this trailer, I've heard someone go "oh no" when he's on screen.

Johnson isn't a guaranteed hitmaker, if Baywatch is anything to go by.

Plus, I can see a lot of people being skeptical about seeing this since it's got that video game movie stigma and we just got a "giant ape fights monsters" movie a year ago. Audiences are fickle.

Also, there are a few other movies that might take away from Rampage's opening weekend like Ready Player One. A Quiet Place is getting great reviews, so that might have some good legs in its second weekend.
