Saw it last night at preview.
It's exactly the movie the trailers are selling, although the special effects and set pieces really work on the big screen. Dwayne Johnson and Jeffrey Dean Morgan also have a ton of charisma.
Don't go in with too high of expectations though. This is obviously geared towards 12 year olds. It's paper thin, nobody stayed late to sweat over the dialogue, the characters are two dimensional at best, and the pair of villains are quite lame.
It's basically a mid tier Godzilla movie with terrific special effects and a charismatic star at its center. No more, no less. It's a cut below Skull Island.
