E3 2009

I think James Cameron paid off Ubisoft so he could ****e out about his movie & Ubisoft forgot to come up with a presentation

his movie has had a near unprecedented amount of privacy and secrecy since the digital/cyber age started, especially for a Hollywood blockbuster. i'm sure he just wants to keep it that way until he's ready to unveil it. i know i wouldn't want video game footage to be shown before motion picture footage if i were in charge of these projects. he was there to ensure everyone that he's actually involved with the game, that it's a quality game and not just the typical movie game.

So, Ubisoft is going to release a Rabbids go home, Katamari version; and TMNT, Super Smash Bros version....
Did they mention a release date or platform for the TMNT game? I'm looking forward to that. TMNT + Smash Bros. gameplay = win.

Rabbids has a solid fanbase though....Ubisoft is dropping both AC2 and Splinter Cell this year...Im happy...was hoping for news on Beyond Good and Evil 2 but alas no

That Splinter Cell Conviction and AC2 trailer was awesome! Same for SW Old Republic.

I saw the Splinter Cell: Conviction trailer last night and, even though I haven't played a SC game since the first one, I was yelling and cackling with excitement. It's like Jack Bauer took every awesome stealth game ever as his love slave and Sam Fisher was the result.

Yeah, I checked the wikipedia page and there are only 5 confirmed characters though. The turtles and Splinter lol.

I'd hope, I wanna play as that fox and snapping turtle from the 2nd or 3rd TMNT movie :D

Im sure Casey Jones will end up being an unlockable character or something. At least that's what I am hoping for

April was featured in the last trailer I saw. Plus they gotta have the Shredder and Casey, at least. Depending on what sources they choose for their canon, they could pull all kinds of other characters, too: Utroms, the Silver Sentry, Mr. Nobody, that big robot dude from Fast Forward, etc.

BTW thanks to you guys who gave tips on where to view E3 at yesterday. I wanted to watch it on my PS3 instead of my comp tho so I could set back in a comfy chair and watch it on the big screen. Problem was tho that IGN needs you to install something, and Gamespot didn't seem to want to work. However, for anyone else wanting to watch it on their PS3, G4's website has a live stream that works perfect on the PS3 browser.

I used Gametrailers to watch all of the Microsoft stuff. I got caught up playing Burnout: Paradise again, though, so I forgot to check back for new stuff. I remembered this morning that I never saw the Alan Wake trailer either. I gotta look that up tonight.

It's on the Wii and released in September. It's made by a select group from the Smash Bros team and Team Ninja. It's too early to judge, but I'm thinking it's going to be pretty awesome.

If it has a bit of the Smash Bros gameplay mixed with more traditional fighter stuff with four player craziness and the turtle license...that can't do anything but be awesome.

As far as characters go they have announced: Shredder, the turtles, April, and Splinter.

With the fact that they are not pulling from any one reality, then can really just pull what characters they want from anywhere. The story is written by the writer of the original comics, so that'll be awesome. I'm sure Casey will be in it, and I will play him almost exclusively. :D

It's worth watching, I thought Alan Wake looked really good.

BTW, anyone know more about what's happening in Home that's E3 related? I've heard rumors that they'll be showing a live stream in Home and Sony will comment on it during the show, but I've also heard it'll be 2 hours delayed. I'm tempted to watch it in Home if true as the videos and trailers in Home usually have good quality and load smoothly. I just don't want to get in there and miss the start of the conference finding out it's on a delay instead.

Aw, only the Wii? Part of the reason I was excited for it was because I thought the non-Nintendo platforms would finally have a Smash-like game of their own.

If they're taking characters from everywhere, I'd love to see the fox ninja chick that Raphael dated in the Archie Comics series. She was cool.

Well, no one seems to be talking in the Nintendo E3 thread, lol. They announced a new Mario with 4 player co-op for Wii this holiday season

I don't know, that Mario game looked fun, just kind of chaotic

Wii Motion Plus is Nintendo's way of saying sorry we ****ed up the first time so instead of Wii: 2 here is an add on

Very chaotic.

So far, Nintendo is meh for me too. Still time to shine.

But, I dunno if they can top Microsoft. Microsoft impressed yesterday. Splinter Cell easily stole the show of E3 yesterday, I think.

Okay, I don't own a Wii...but shooting arrows looked cool.

But skydiving...meh.

I thought Microsoft giving us the ability to have full body control of our avatar with our movements is too impressive.
