I'll probably watch the MS press conference on Xbox One and the rest on Twitch

Platinum Games will have a new game at the show, that isn't Scalebound. :mrk:

MGR 2 or Bayonetta 3 would be fantastic. But I am hoping for the impossible and DMC5.

I'd say Bayonetta 3 is about as impossible as DMC5 at this point. Not only did B2 bomb on the U, as it was destined to, IGN has billed this as a "gameplay reveal." Whatever it is would have to be in development long enough to be in playable form. The odds of that being a potential Bayonetta 3 is super low. It's been less than a year since 2 and, even though Platinum has a good turnaround rate, the odds of the project being that far along seems unlikely unless it was being developed at the same time as 2 or is a much smaller project overall, such as a handheld or mobile title.

It won't be DMC5, either, though lol. And I'm actually okay with that. It'd be great and all, but Itunso knows his stuff. I would actually be pretty excited to see what he makes with a potential DMC5 on a full development cycle and not being rushed.

But that makes the likeliest candidates Rising 2 or Korra 2. The former I'd be excited about, the latter I would be...okay with. It could, of course, be a new IP.

Rising 2 would be cool with me.

There was that one huge survey released after Metal Gear Rising came our asking what we wanted to see in a sequel...not hard evidence though.

I definitely want a sequel to Rising, and I think there's enough evidence that they've been working on it, however I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this particular game is something new.

There's been a few hints of Rising 2 here and there. That survey, the random 2 that was shown at a Taiwan game show that was clearly Rising's font, and the picture of Kojima and Kayima together on twitter that said "What's going on here!?" or something like that (Neither of them had direct involvement with Rising, but Kojima is the face of Metal Gear and Kayima has become the face of Platinum). The real question is if it was in development before all this stuff happened with Konami recently, and if so, how far in development was it.

I hope there is going to be a ton of games announced at E3 2015 this year, some game developers have gotten impatient and decided to announce their new games last week and this week instead of waiting.

Companies unveiling titles right before E3 aren't that uncommon. Usually they aren't big titles, but it seems every year there's a "I can't believe they didn't wait until E3 to drop that" title. This year it was Fallout 4 and last it was Pokemon ORAS. 2012 was Resident Evil 6. Can't remember 2013, though, but I'm sure there was something.

I'd be interested in a next gen Far Cry 5.

It's funny, right after I posted this, I read news that EA just officially announced Mirror's Edge Catalyst, the reboot/remake of Mirror's Edge lol. Kind of figured that's something they would've saved for E3, but I guess it's not the definition of big for a lot of people since it was such a low seller originally.

WB Games released the trailer for Lego Marvel Avengers today, I was expecting them to not release it until during E3 2015.

There's some people I think it would be a big deal for but yeah, not as broad an anticipation as some other titles.

That has nothing to do with impatience. More like, "We don't want our announcements to be drowned out in the noise."

The Guardian has it on “good authority” that The Last Guardian will be at E3
Published 21 mins ago. 27 comments.

Guardians tend to know things about each other.

TLG-E3-2015-Guardian.jpg

UK newspaper The Guardian posted its “15 most anticipated games” of E3 2015 list today. And it includes an interesting note about The Last Guardian.
“Yes, we know it has been in development hell since 2007,” The Guardian said in reference to the game, “but we have it on very good authority that this will be the year that Team Ico finally presents its follow-up to much loved classics Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. Whether it’ll bear any relation to the game last shown at E3 in 2009 is anyone’s guess.”
If you missed it, “we have it on very good authority” means ‘we were told by someone with knowledge of the matter.’
If you’re interested, The Guardian’s most anticipated games of E3 list is as follows:

  • Fallout 4 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  • Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  • Mass Effect 4 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  • XCOM 2 (PC, Mac, Linux)
  • Wattam (PS4)
  • The Last Guardian (PS4)
  • The Legend of Zelda (Wii U) (I don’t think anyone told The Guardian that this won’t be there)
  • Firewatch (PC, Mac, Linux)
  • Persona 5 (PS4, PS3)
  • LEGO Dimensions (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, 360, Wii U, PC)
  • Star Wars Battlefront (PS4, XBO, PC)
  • No Man’s Sky (PS4)
  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, 360, PC)
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4)
  • Microsoft Hololens
Thanks, NeoGAF.

Just thought I'd rank those for fun (including ones that won't be there!)

Mass Effect 4 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (PS4)
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, 360, PC)
Star Wars Battlefront (PS4, XBO, PC)
The Legend of Zelda (Wii U) (I don’t think anyone told The Guardian that this won’t be there)
Fallout 4 (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
No Man’s Sky (PS4)
The Last Guardian (PS4)
XCOM 2 (PC, Mac, Linux)
Persona 5 (PS4, PS3)
LEGO Dimensions (PS4, Xbox One, PS3, 360, Wii U, PC)

Don't know about these 2:
Wattam (PS4)
Firewatch (PC, Mac, Linux)

Yeah, can't say I put a whole lot of stock on a source that claims something and then immediately lists something in their most anticipated list that has been known to not be part of E3 for a few months now.

But who knows. I mean, hell, if Alan Wake can drag itself out of vaporware hell, then I suppose The Last Guardian can, too.
