Just a quick hypothetical(?) question that I wondered about earlier and wondered whether any sciency people here may have an answer for me.
If the Earth were to slow it's rotation to the point that it stopped, firstly how slow would that hypothetically have to be in order for nobody to die, and how long would it take, and secondly, what would the result be if, after stopping, it started to spin the other way - to eventually match it's current speed of rotation, just going the opposite way around.
