Elon Musk Buys X (formerly Twitter)

Ars Technica - Lawsuit: At Tesla, racial discrimination is “standard operating procedure”

Business Insider - Elon Musk had twins last year with one of his top executives

Musk, who has been an outspoken advocate of bringing more babies into the world, now has nine known children.

Musks' twins with Zilis were reportedly born a few weeks before the tech mogul fathered a second child with musician Claire Boucher, who performs under the name Grimes.

He’s like Vince McMahon, preying upon his subordinates which is supposed to be a no-no.

In May, Insider reported that SpaceX had paid a company flight attendant $250,000 to stay quiet after she alleged that Musk exposed himself and propositioned her for sex.

His companies are staffed with sycophants and flunkies at the highest levels to protect him.

Musk probably also wants Twitter as his next personal hookup place. :barf:

Ffs. Just let him back out. This is for the best.
I’ll be glad if an idiot like that doesn’t have control over an important social media company, but from this point of view the price bid is now very high compared to what they are now worth after the market collapse since, and Musk has been so lax with his following of regulations when it comes to stock-purchase disclosures and letting out important info that should be kept private on a whim that having all this dragged through court could hurt.

So, Elon is about to pay a billion dollars to have ruined his reputation and business.
Hopefully losing a chunk more from the court case on top of the termination fee, and as you said investor’s faith in him for Tesla will also have taken a permanent hit. He’s also been such a dick publicly in the last couple of years that much of his future customer base who are pro-environment wouldn’t dream of getting a Tesla anymore (will eventually get an EV but from a competitor).

They can settle out of court. Usually how these things go more often than not. But usually also people do buy what they said they'd buy.

NBC News - Elon Musk says he's backing out of $44 billion deal to buy Twitter

Some Twitter employees are expressing mixed feelings about Musk's exit from the deal.

"I guess it feels like we won," one employee who spoke on condition of anonymity told NBC News.

"But it feels like the end of the movie, where the characters are bloodied and bedraggled with a Michael Bay explosion behind them. We could see this was coming, but in the meantime he’s f---ing destroyed the company."

From my understanding... Elon Musk wanted to buy Twitter to impress his followers and show how manly he was with his money using censorship on social media as the reason, and he didn't have the funds to buy it and came up with an excuse about bots to delay it enough for him to try and get a backer to help pay for it. No one wanted to and now here we are.
