Not a fan of his later stuff, but Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy, Don't Shoot Me I'm Only the Piano Player, and (especially) Goodbye Yellow Brick Road are some of my all-time greatest rock albums.

He's most certainly earned his way and contributed so much to music.
