Heroes won an Emmy for best visual effects!

“Heroes” received its second Creative Arts Emmy last week with a win for “Outstanding Visual Effects For a Series.”

The Emmy was awarded for the first two episodes from season three, “The Second Coming” and “The Butterfly Effect.” The series also received a nomination for “Outstanding Art Direction For A Single-Camera Series” for the episode “Cold Snap.”

In 2008, “Heroes” received its first Emmy for “Outstanding Interactive Media Programming” for the "Heroes" Digital Experience.

The 61st Primetime Emmy Awards will air live from L.A.'s Nokia Theatre tonight at 8 p.m. on CBS with host Neil Patrick Harris.
