Englehart/Rogers/Austin run ?

I have heard so many good things of this run and am interested in picking it up..can someone give me more info such as issue started in and issue ended and exactly which title it was...

Their original run? That took place in Detective #469-479. It's collected in the Strange Apparitions TPB.

They also more recently wrote a mini-series called Dark Detective. That's...not as good, IMO.

Thanks alot...yeah I knew about dark detective but didn't bother picking it up.
And I gotta say I was expecting a bigger number of issues done by these guys...Thats a pretty short run.

I really like Dark Detective. So, I'm guessing that I'll really find much more enjoyment out of Strange Apparations?

I wouldn't say it's bad, just mediocre. But then, hell, you could be like SIAT, and love it.

Dark detective was really awful.Englehart's writing was a mess.And Rogers' art took a turn for the worst.I .could hardly believe this was the same team that did one of my favorite arcs in the 70's.

I really liked Strange Apparitions. I heard that they wanted to do some more work following Dark Detective so I'm kinda waiting to see where it goes. If I can get y'know, 12 issues, I'd do that, and try and wait them out. If they don't... depends where I'm at, I can always save a 20.
