Epic Movie rips X-Men

jesus, that's utter crap. I do hate these kind of comedies. American Pie, Scary Movie, Ben Stiller's movies, total waste of time. Intelligent comedies aren't easy to find nowadays.

"For Your Consideration" just came out...

Don't forget Thank You For Smoking and Little Miss Sunshine. Yes people they do exist they just aren't as easy to find as the ****ty ones.

This movie may be a spoof, but some of what I'm seeing on those stills look like improvements over what we were given in the x-men films. For example, those uniforms look easier to move in, Mystique's hair style (but not color), Rogue has a bigger white streak and she's in her uniform with the team on a mission, Cylcops is wearing a one peice uniform with boots outside his pants:up:, Storm doesn't look too pretty and timid and Magneto doesn't look as old and weak. I don't care if no one here agrees. That's just how I feel regarding that scene in Epic Movie.

Lol...when attempts at mockery costumes are actually taken seriously you know the movie isn't funny.

Yikes...I remember a while ago you were ripping Anna Paquin apart because her boots were outside of her pants. Did you have a change of heart?!?

God.

Dance floor madness...

Thought for a second skinny boy was having some weird seizure.

I said this about Cyclops in Epic Movie b/c the boots outside the pants is what he and everyone else should've worn in the x-men films. The way they wear their pants outside their boots looks gay and it's something else that just takes liberties from the comics! I was criticizing AP b/c she was the only one wearing boots outside her pants while nobody else was!:o I'd be saying the same thing if one character had worn pants outside their boots while nobody else was (you know, vice versa).

Well no there has always been ****ty movies. I think these days they get alot more publicity behind them because if a movie has enough marketing behind it it can at least make a little cash. There has been great films (The Prestige, Little Miss Sunshine, The Departed, Casino Royale, POTC2...just to name a few) you just gotta look for them and try not to get blinded with the marketing. I was fooled with ****ing Date Movie. :(

Exactly. The make movies like Epic Movie just to get one good opening weekend out of it and make the rest of their money on DVD.

There were awesome movies this year. I saw Pan's Labyrinth and Children of Men this week (which were both 2006 releases, even though they haven't gone wide yet) and they were both incredible.

In fact, they were showing the Epic Movie trailer in the lobby when I was leaving Children of Men tonight, and it looked so bad after the amazing movie I'd just seen, I wanted to toss something at the screen.

There were a lot of good movies this year: The Departed, Little Miss Sunshine, The Illusionist, and The Prestige. Borat was funny as hell. I saw The Fountain three times...screw X3, that was Hugh Jackman's best performance this year.

Good movies are out there. You just have to look for them.

Agreed. Oh, and the words you're looking for are: Cookie-f****n-cutter. :D

The point is that we shouldn't have to look THAT HARD to find them.

EDIT: added the smilie thingy after the cookie cutter bit.

Tough titty. These movies are making money so why would they stop with them? I mean you can't put the entire blame on these studios because people ARE still paying to see them. But these studios complain about bootlegs and pirated movies. Trust me...if the movies were worthy to see on a big screen it wouldn't be such a problem.

Oh, I didn't mean to sound hostile, lol.

I meant 'cookie-f****n-cutter' in a sort of detached matter-of-fact way.

Hell, as a matter of fact, I prefer cookie-cutter comedies better than cookie-cutter action flicks with PG-13 (WTF!!!???) ratings. And yes, that means I dig old action movies as thoroughly enjoyable guilty pleasures.

Should've added a smilie or something. Which I'll do with an edit. :D

I wasn't taking what you said as hostile just reminding you that the movies will always be a business and business decisions are always made in the creative process of filmmaking. It is a cold hard fact. Some studios just are worse than others *Coughs* fox *Coughs*.

Eh eh. So I'm not the only who likes to use the *cough cough* thingy. :D

Still, did I ever post anything that could infer I wasn't painfully aware of that?

But I'll just suppose it was a "collective" reminder. No sweat. ;)

*actually chokes on cherry candy cane at that*

ROTFLMAO.

This movie's Magneto is even stronger. He managed to attract a blue PLASTIC spoon.
