This was kind of a meh episode. They really didnt think very hard to do anything different and every was very surface.

Alice just got her sister back but let her spend the entire episode mourn over her boyfriend! They could've used the episode to have her work with the Batteam and notice that Kate is very obviously lying about everything coming out of her mouth. They dont even have Kate try to fight against her Circe brainwash persona. The only weight in this game is that we know that she is supposed to be Kate.

GCPD is owned by the bad guy! SHOCKER! We didnt just finish up a storyline where The Crows were pieces of crap and corrupt or anything. Playing this generic every cop is bad is boring. Also this is why you need a Jim Gordon running it, it should be more interesting than this people!

The Batcave needs a serious redesign because it feels so small with all these small rooms where Batman cant even display his goodies to the world.

If they cant even bring ANY of these bat villains back then....I could barely care.

Oh and another "make the suit FIT YOU"

Well, lots of characters (mostly villains, but some good guys) are now privy to Batwoman’s dual identity. Actually, both Batwomen. And, via Kate’s journals, Batman’s identity too (?). Also the location of the Batcave.

:hmm

So assuming that these secrets are restored, a whole lot of villains have to die or develop amnesia. :ebr:

“Ashes to ashes… Ocean to ocean.” This is what Safiyah says to Alice as Ocean’s ashes are scattered. But did Safiyah mean “ocean” literally? If so, Gotham is not on Lake Michigan; it’s back on the East Coast.

I’m beginning to think that Gotham on Batwoman is a lot like Springfield on The Simpsons. It can be anywhere that the plot requires. :word:

I enjoyed this episode. At least they didn't hide the big surprise about Kate/Circe from the audience the whole episode. Dug the first fight between Circe and Ryan.

I did laugh at the whole bit with her parole officer crying over Ryan being in trouble. I seem to remember her being less invested at the beginning of the season. But hey, at least they finally remembered that Ryan was still on parole.

I liked this episode. ****'s getting intense. And damn, they have really succeeded in making the audience root for Alice/Beth. Seeing some Youtube comments and reactions liking this show more and more too.

'Ocean to ocean.' I liked that little play on words. Though Safiyah is an idiot for getting so close to Alice after taking away everything from her again! You don't do that to Alice and then let her live!

And damn, I'm really into this show just for the Alice parts now! So far Wallis Day is doing really good at playing Circe, and I'm dreading that all we'll see of Kate again is a few minutes at the end of the story, before she dies or moves away or whatever.

By the time Ryder was arrested and the Batteam was locked up in the elevator, I was thinking Alice would be playing the hero racing to the rescue, which would have been cool. She does have the key to unlocking Kate from the Circe persona, as I'm assuming she'll come to the realization at just the right moment as to what that is.

Really tired of the dirty cops everywhere routine though. They really should have played it as a few dirty cops having to work around the good ones rather than saying pretty much that everyone with a badge is bad. The only good officers they've showed us were the two Crows watching Luke's hospital room, and I'm assuming they're out of a job now...

And are we done with Jacob, seeing how is going to Metropolis while awaiting trial?
