Discuss episode 7 here.

I'm guessing everyone will figure out Aubrey Plaza is death.

Ok, I think that was my favourite so far. Patti LuPone was so great and looked beautiful as Glinda. Billy also suited Maleficent!

I do like stories told out of order and a non linear life providing it's not constantly used, looking at you Steven Moffat, and this worked so well. It was a tough one to pull off making all the scenes make sense once the ep was over but they managed it. Lilia handed the torch to Jen, who da thunk?

We finally got the Rio reveal "what can I say, I like the bad boys!" and the show answered Lilia's non sequiturs from the season and also the Billy/William question. Jac Schaeffer has also gotten adept at predicting fan theories since WV because we also had Billy question whether Agatha had ever walked the road before.

"If you want a straight answer, ask a straight lady" Hah.

The Salem 7 did seem pretty easily defeated after all that but it was still poignant "I loved being a witch."

I think this was one of my favourite episodes of a Disney + show and I wasn't expecting that.

Lilia :csad: I wasn't expecting the episode to hit so hard. A lot of that has to do with Patti LuPone's performance, Lilia's journey came together beautifully this week. The Death reveal was incredible! We're clearly going to get some great material in next week's two final episodes. Too bad about the Funko leaks, this show had two reveals that were among the best Marvel has ever had, written, directed, and acted to perfection.

The Billy thing never would've been surprising, it's what we all expected (although I guess for non-comic readers it would've been fun). But I definitely would've liked to be surprised on Rio though, that would've been a great, creepy reveal, even though they telegraphed it quite a bit.

I'm not sure if they're fully gone, maybe just temporarily indisposed... I mean, it would be a waste if Lilia's sacrifice meant nothing, but that did feel much too easy

Also, I'm with Billy

Where the hell is Rio?!
Two episodes with almost no Aubrey Plaza is unacceptable :argh:

At least she looked amazing in the Death garb

This episode was really good.

Not sure who I'm left rooting for though. Billy is ok and all, but his question needs a little resolution, and Agatha is just sort of there.

Lilia is the character I was enjoying most and hoping she would make it out alive.

Which means Agatha will win in the end.

Thankfully, I was able to void the Funko. Otherwise, it was quite good. Probably my favorite episode so far. The character work was excellent.

I do wonder if it would've served the show better if it was called The Witches' Road or something like that. Agatha very much feels like a supporting player now, but then again, I'm sure she'll get a lot more material in the last two episodes.

Even "Agatha and the Witches' Road" would have been a better title.

Sorry about the double post.

I meant to post that last episode gave me mad Lost vibes with people interacting in the past coincidentally in ways they didn't realize. This episode also gave Lost vibes to a lesser extent.

How Agatha will end:

Someone pointed out that only 5 got impaled so it's possible there will be two more but in the next two I think Rio and Agatha's own sins are going to take centre stage. On reflection I really do like the symbolism in how Lilia took them out, it doesn't always have to be a big fight physically, it was the culmination and acceptance of her entire life.

I think the show is going to swing back hard to Agatha in the last two eps so it will be "Agatha All Along" even though we've gotten eps for each of the supporting cast. "The Witches Road" is an OK title but I don't think it was ever going to be called anything else but what it is because that song became her entire pop culture signature.

Yeah I could see the two-- the crow and the cicada-- having survived, since they can fly and all.

Gotta give Billy and Jen someone to deal with while Agatha takes on Rio
