But you'll notice the distinct lack of acting in the preview.

That'll kill a movie. Visuals can be astounding, but without solid performances, it'll be a ****ing video game.

But this'll be even worse...it'll be basically a 12 y.o. girl's fantasy land or something.

They need to let general audiences know a little more about the story. Right now it's being too narrowly aimed just at fantasy geeks and people who read the books. Harry Potter had a much bigger built in audience, but still showed what the story was actually about.

So many people are disliking Saphire and i think she looks alot better then most dragons i've seen. The Reign of Fire Drgaons were amazing but she looks ok. I am definatley seeing this. Eragon does not look like D/D to me. I think some parts of both trailers are pretty kicken. Its also a gamble to try and use unknows in movies. It worked for the Harry Potter students so why not see the movie before you diss an unknown director and some cast.
