I could live with that choice. He doesn't exactly look like the comic book character but he's a damn good actor.

There are worse options out there. Ethan Hawk should be able to give a good performance though I think they should try and find someone who looks the role a bit more, if for no other reason then to keep the rabit fanboys from tearing the film apart right of the bat

He's a good actor but Tony Stark should have a commanding presence/personality.

I like Ethan Hawke. I think he'd bring some depth to the role. Hawke seems to like playing flawed characters, and Tony is definitely that. If he were cast, I wouldn't complain.

Yeah, i wouldn't mind him, not hot or cold on him, he's a talented actor, has name recogniztion, and he's not bigger than Iron Man, something, Jon Favreau as said he's looking for.

I like him but he may not ressemble te part any more, check him out in Lord of War, looking all tough guy...
He may be an interesting Nick Fury instead.
