Wow, I've just read this guy's review of The Wrestler - he has a real hard-on for Jason Statham by all accounts. You get reviewers like this; you can spot em a mile off - chip on his shoulder, fighting against the grain for shock value and out of spite because he's so pissed that someone else is getting credit for good work. He'd much rather cheer for the underdog because he was bullied at school/wasn't breast fed/can't get it up.

He either has very poor taste or just doesn't like seeing the winners win. Let's feel bad for this bald-headed ****tard, and realise that he just can't help it.

Was I defending his opinion, I believe I was asking that you all get off your high horses. The only reason this thread exists is so that you all can stroke each others egos about how right you are since the mass opinion is that "Dark Knight" is great, etc, and I see absolutely nothing constructive in this thread. I believe in freedom of speech and everyone's entitled to their opinion. All the guy has done is use his right to voice his opinion, feel free to disagree, but the condescension and the fact that you need this thread to validate yourselves is sad and sickens me because 90% of people do this every day.

He is obviously trying desperately to get some controversy, I could understand if you like certain films more than others but you like BAD films more than 90% of the films that were concidered the "best of the year"...looks kind of fishy to me.


Btw, I dont care if he doesn't like The Dark Knight...or Wall-e...or slumdog millionaire...whatever, its his opinion. But its seems really strange when someone choses movies that are absolutely terrible (ala Transporter 3, Twilight) over films that are concidered good...it just seems like he is purposely trying to get a raise out of people

We're not validating our opinions; as far as I am aware our opinions are not in question. I've taken the time to read his reviews and they are VERY predictable. If he were on these boards, he would be considered a troll. That's all he's doing. In his observations he seems more concerned with the acclaim the film receives than he is with the actual quality of the films he is supposed to be reviewing.

There ARE people who differ on opinion with the majority regarding TDK, and I appreciate the points they raise. People are entitled to their opinions, as I am entitled to mine. My opinion of this guy is that he works against the grain for simple, trollish shock value.

I never made it personal, however, I've just judge the validity of this thread which I think is wasteful. Especially, when it so obvious that its a bad reviewer, like why? Outside of, let's make fun of this person we've never met simply to validate one's own opinion, if I'm wrong, then prove it somehow, but he hasn't, he's merely said what I've said in different ways, then go angry, and called me a prick.
