EW's 20 Top Horror Films of the Past 20 Years

Yeah, I heard that from someone who's a big Nicole Kidman fan.

I love Nicole Kidman, but I thought the Others was very tedious, and
copying and pasting the sixth sense ending didn't help.

BTW, why the hell was Darkman listed as a "horror film"?

I saw The Others first...so it didn't bother me. But when I look back at it...they are very similar.

But it wasn't lifted off Sixth Sense, since almost all the characters are Ghosts in Purgatory, and the human are the shadows. In that movie was about a kid who see's Ghosts, not a bunch of Ghosts living out of phase.

Thats what everyone keeps saying.

I guess the guy said it cause it was from Sam Raimi who made the evil dead films and drag me to hell. (which was also on the list)

:facepalm

or maybe it's because the film has horror elements along with films like Shaun of the Dead, Misery and Silence of the Lambs...

That's too logical, dammit! I wanted For Love of the Game on that list!

Crap I missed that. Still, that doesnt change much. Theres pkenty of great movies (namely from Stephen King) that had both great character development and terrific plot. What about Stephen King's Night Flyer? or Pet Semetary?

Movie lists are a funny thing, they mean absolutely nothing and hardly anyone ever takes much notice of them, but they hold a great deal of power over us.

That being said, Hostel and its sequel suck. :o

Ok, I like a lot of movies from that list, but I don't think the list should be that way. Alien 3?? Shaun of the Dead as a horror film? From Hell? Not bad movies by me, but not the best certainly. Love Audition for example, but don't agree it should be number one. Hell, only the last twenty minutes or so are horrific, and it's not really what I'd call horror even then.
