im probably way late to this book, but i bought the tpb of ex machina (issues 1_5 and it was good.theres a movie in there somewhere.the writing, art is top notch.i m going back for the next tpb this week.:hq:

Glad to hear. Ex Machina is consitently one of the best titles I read every month. Top 5 book IMO, Vaughan and Harris have been doing a bang up job.

By the way, I think Vaughan is writing a movie for this and Y The Last Man.

He must be raking it in. The first issue is on the Wildstorm website. Downloaded it y'day but I'm too tired to read it now. Guess I'll havta make myself... ok, just read it. another set of trades to collect. sigh...

Ex Machina is the shiznit. I was a fan of Harris on Starman, but his Machina art is 10 times greater.

It tends to be painfully obvious 1. how little BKV knows or understands how politics works, and 2. how proud he is of 1., but the parts where Hundred talks to machines and fights serial killers and **** are all good.

I acquired the first dozen issues of Ex Machina online through... questionable means. I've since deleted the files, and bought the trades of those issues last week. I absolutely love this title, and Vaughan deserves my money.

It's funny you should say that. He could have been your president.

No, seriously.

No, it's easily one of the best books on the stands right now.

Someone told me Johnny Dep was attached to the movie as a producer and most likely star. But I was drunk at the time...

Mitchel Hundred or BKV?

Vaughan. He was part of a show that HBO was producing that was going to groom a presidential candidate for 2008. Which is a pretty interesting idea for a show (obviously whoever was selected wouldn't stand a chance, but it would have been interesting to watch).

What are you, like 50? Seriously, bang up job?

nah, it could have been better. it's good but i was expecting something more mind****ed....like planetary. but its a good read.

You expected a drama series about a New York Mayor to be like a series that uncovers earths hidden history?

Shawshank Redemption was good and all, but really i was expecting more, something along the lines of a cross between Kill Bill and that Pirates porno:down:

I've only read the first 3 trades but I really like it. I hope the movie gets made and does well.

I was wondering when I was going to find a thread on this book.

Definitely one of the best comics being put out right now. The other one being Y The Last Man, but that's about to end so...heh.

Anyway. I finally caught myself up on this. Read the first trade like over a year ago but I read too many damn comics that it's one of those things that caught in the back burner.

Tony Harris is a fantastic penciller and I can't see anybody else doing this book other than him. Great characters. Great superpower. Just a really fun book with politics and superheroics thrown into one convienent little package.

I'm waiting for Pherson to come back though.

And, I don't know about you guys, but this new bad guy...the one with the eye patch...his characterization really reminds me of Herr Starr from Preacher. In fact, this latest storyline has kind of had some elements from Preacher in it. Maybe it's me but...I don't know. Maybe Vaughn is doing a nice wink to Preacher, considering it's one of the best damn comic series ever.

I've heard such good things about this series and read the first issue online and was quite impressed. I'm actually thinking of picking up the deluxe hc 1.

I just bummed the first 3 trades from my buddy. LOVING IT!! This is much more than what I was expecting. You definitely have to have an open mind about some of the political views thou. I'm planning on buying the trades for myself.

I do have a question for everyone. I watched an episode of iFanboy lately and Josh kinda mentioned that there are placed online to order trades at a cheaper rate. I found one (instocktrades.com) and I'm just wondering if this site or sites like it are totally legit. Has anyone ordered from one of these sites? If it is legit, I have plans for ordering Y: The Last Man and Goon trades.
