i seriously cannot believe this is the same guy who directed that which must not be named.

if you havent seen it i recommend you do... its awesome

michael douglas' best role:up:

Awesome movie but i hafta say Douglas' best movie was King of California

Great film. I've always wanted to sick at a McDonald's employee.

you never watched this movie before? what are you from the moon heheheheh?
an amazing movie.

just because he made batman & robin that doesnt mean that he is a bad director.

Yes. I love this ****ing movie.

''Im the badguy? When did that happen?''

And, any other hack actor would have made that retiring-detective subplot a snooze. Duvall is a boss though, so that turned out fine.

He's done a lot more good stuff; The Lost Boys, Tigerland, Phone Booth, Veronica Guerin. 8MM wasn't bad, but I didn't like it that much. Flatliners is good I hear. Haven't seen it.

Falling Down is his best film tho.

"Falling Down" was OK, but I hated [blackout]the reveal that Douglas' character was always kind of insane. The whole buildup prior to that point was society drove him mad, but then, shortly before the movie ends, we learn that maybe it didn't.[/blackout] I think this aspect hurts the movie's theme.

The movie's still entertaining and has some good lines and cool scenes, but overall it leaves some to be desired.

I agree with that, I felt the ending was kind of weak, but most of the movie was great. Used to watch this at college a lot.

"You forgot the briefcase!"

Yeah, I'd agree with you there. Falling Down is pure genius. The only thing that bugs me a bit is that I (kind of) wish Bill didn't completely go off the deep end and go after his wife. It makes sense, its just that what I enjoy most about the movie is just him taking down random a$$holes that antagonize him as he makes his way across the city. It's almost like a real-life videogame.

Also, definitely check out Flatliners. Not everyone likes that movie, but I personally find it pretty damned brilliant. "Today is a good day to die."

Falling Down was GTA before GTA was cool.:o

Flatliners, & Lost Boys are simply awesome. If you want to see who can take down Jack Bauer. Look no further than a pissed off kid in a hooded red sweater.

LOVE the way he picks up a better weapon each time. Switchblade< Gun< Bag of Guns< BAZOOKA. :D

This movie is ****ing sweet. Perfect for watching with friends aswell. It's a cheer-movie.

Yeah. I think my favorite part of the movie is when he's on the golf course. "Now you're gonna die wearing that stupid little hat." Oh, how I would love to say that to a rich old schmuck as he's having a heart attack.

Awesome avatar, Falcone.

Yeah, that's something of a cheer moment aswell. But the McDonalds scene is the best. :woot:

Awesome avatar, Falcone.

Thanks. I'll see you in the trees.

Falling Down has been one of my favorite films. I don't know why, but I totally agree with Douglas' character the entire time. I sometimes sit in my car in traffic and think "Damn it, I need a bazooka right now"

Love the scene where he trashes the convenience store, xenophobia and all, though I may not agree with it.
