the Batman Forever and Batman and Robin Batmobiles were horrible IMO, i would think someone that is usually out in the night wouldnt ride around in a neon lit car

Anton Furst's batmobile. When it comes to looks for "the car", there's no contest. This is the sexiest looking Batmobile. The 1966 car has its old fashioned charm (and fits well with the tone of the campy series), and the Hummer we hadn't seen before and more fit for Nolan's "practical" Batman. Barbara Ling's design for Forever has its merits, but the Batman & Robin car was first designed as a toy, and then as a movie car. Same goes for all the Schumacher film vehicles.

I like this Batmobile, but it's to glossy for me.
Batman Forever 6/10
I don´t like the neon lights. It has a good design, but overall it does not look to solid.

This, as said before, looks like a toy, flashy and colorfull.
Batman Begins & The Dark Knight 10/10
Love this thing. It surprised me with all these gadgets and a beliable use for the turbine.
Batman TAS & New Batman Adventures 10/10
The design rocked. I grow up with this design, and whe I saw the second version, I fall in love with it, because if you look it carefully you can se a Bat head shaped on the front of the car, like in early comics but less noticeable-

I like them all really.

89/Returns is what I grew up on, so I have a soft spot for it - even though from a design standpoint, I've never been particularly fond of it.

Forever is really great, Begins/TDK is fantastic, and heck, I even like B&R to an extent. The disco-ball in the front is a bit much, and it needs a canopy, but the rest of the design is really sharp. Very sleek.

I thought the tumbler looked too "tank-like" when I first saw it. Then when I caught it on film....Whoa! Best batmobile.

Batman 89/Returns is very impressive too. The Batman Forever and B & R one are both appalling. They look like toys.

For me the Burtonmobile is still tops, followed closely by the Tumbler, the TNBA version, the '66 TV car, and the Beyond Batmobile.

The B:TAS car had a nice retro feel, but was just a little too long and thin for my tastes. Likewise, the Batmobile on The Batman just didn't seem very impressive to me, just more of what we'd seen previously in the car. And the less said about the two Schumacher-era neon hippy-wagons, the better.
