Favorite Godzilla movie?

Hi I am Ultron-5 and I felt like I really needed to create this poll. Godzilla has been around since 1954 and has a massive fanbase. With so many movies such as the 1954 classic, the 1984 revival, and the 1998 disappointment, Godzilla has encountered so many threats such as King Kong, Mothra, King Ghidorah, And the enemy that is perhaps his most fearsome and deadliest opponent, Roland Emmerich. So Godzilla fans... what is your favorite movie featuring the one and only King of the Monsters?

Aside from the original, I think I've got two - Godzilla vs. Biollante/Godzilla vs. Destoroyah.

I know a lot of people probably love movies from the Showa era, but the Heisei era movies were more to my liking.

2000s - Godzilla: Tokyo SOS

Godzilla 2014 was an amazing experience. Getting to see big G in all his glory after so many years made me smile.

Wow, not much love for Godzilla 84. As a kid it was the definitive Godzilla film for me.

I watched it again after watching Godzilla 2014, and it still holds up well if you can get past the very dated special effects. The soundtrack is very good and the film is very dark like the 54 film. I wish Godzilla 2014 was more like it and less like Gamera.

Agreed. Godzilla vs. Mothra (1964) was a very close 2nd but GMK won out for me. No one was safe in that movie.

Godzilla vs Destoroyah. That film has probably the most thematically perfect and powerful ending the mythos could ask for.
