I saw the live action one from the 90's but didn't really like it.

If you love the animated one, I highly recommend the 2016 one. It actually combines the Disney story with Kipling's, so it has a lot more originality than the load of elephant manure known as the Lion King remake.

Mowgli is awesome too, being the closest to the spirit of the Kipling book.

I'm not a big fan of any of them, but the Disney 60s version at least had George Sanders, Phil Harris, and Sterling Holloway hamming it up.

I loved the 90's live action movie as a kid, and while I do still enjoy it to this day I got to say that I think Mowgli has definitely surpassed as my new favorite. Unfortunately, I wasn't the biggest fan of the 2016 live action remake.
