The role of Kaa in one trailer made me think there'd be more to that snake here than the animated film had, Scarlet Johanson is even credited as one of the film stars in the end credits.

I saw this on a whim. Really surprised and impressed.

Shere Khan is really terrifying. Idris Elba does a great job. Seriously, if kids see this, they might have a life long fear of tigers.

I do wish they had done more with Kaa, but even so I would give this movie a full price.

Shere Khan in this film puts live action villains to shame. Good god, that is one scary mofo! I really wasn't that expecting that. That whole fire scene especially had me all tensed up.

King Louie was pretty unnerving too.

The actor that played Mowgli wasn't always great, but that's a very minor complaint. Everything else more than makes up for it. Disney and Favreau and the voice actors and animators knocked it out of the park.

Watched this 8 years after last seeing it on the big screen.

Yikes, the CGI has dated badly. I know that's par the course but even Jurassic Park's CG still looks great to this day. The Lord of the Rings trilogy's CG still looks great. Avatar's CG still looks great.
