Well, what is it?

I can break them up into genres..

The Terminator-scifi

Pearl Harbor-War

Taken-action

The Island-scifi (again I know)

True Lies-action (yeah yeah)

Dawn of the Dead 2004-Horror

Beowulf-sword epic

Braveheart-same

Spider-Man 2.1-superhero

Last Action Hero-comedy

Elf-comedy...again

The Incredibles-animated

Wall-E-animated x2

Maverick-western

Star Trek-alien

i don't understand..hehe

you said 'yeah yeah' with True Lies when it's already a well liked (and maybe underrated) action film but with war, you don't put anything funny states down for Michael Bay's Pear Harbor.

Out of all the war movies you had to put down Pearl Harbor and Taken for action?

I like Pearl Harbor... but it is NOT the best war movie...

There are a lot of movies i love but my favorite movie without a doubt and will forever remain as such is TDK...the 2 years of consistent hype, the viral marketing, the rumors,Heath's death, the early raves and then finally watching it and it turning out to be even better than i hoped...after that the billion $,the oscar snub which made my affection toward the movie even bigger,Heath's ultimate win...

I can say with certainty i will never be hyped nor so much emotionally involved in a movie, not even if there's a Batman 3.

The movie in my mind.:o

But seriously, I'm gonna have to take time to think about each genre

My "Favorite. Movie. Ever." is Unforgiven, with great consideration given to films like The Shining, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Pledge, Kill Bill- Vol.2, and Mulholland Dr.

I'm going to have to choose Zhang Yimou's Hero. Everything to the music, the fight sequences, to the message was just beautiful.

If you have to watch a movie every time it's on TV, you know it's your favorite.

Also since everyone is doing it by genre I'll name a couple others.

Jaws- Horror

The Dark Knight - Superhero

The Incredibles- Animated

Howl's Moving Castle- Miyazaki

Lord of the Rings- Fantasy

I'll have to throw Fight Club in there somewhere as well.

Apocalypse Now and The Matrix.

The rest of my top 10 is constantly changing.

I had the "yeah yeah" and stuff because I kept repeating genre's. :o

I'm too lazy to go genre by genre. But my favorite film ever is Seven Samurai

Title of the thread isn't favorite western or favorite movie by genre.

The title is Favorite. Movie. Ever.

And for me that movie is...

Yeah. I was going to do that but then decided it was hard as heck saying just one. It was much easier to break them down into groups.

But if I had to choose, it would be between Taken, Pearl Harbor, and The Terminator.
